  Black footed ferrets have a peculear habit of easing on high place like a table, cornice, on the cover of water tanks etc. Second peculear habit is that when a ferret enters into a cage of chicken or hares it takes away one prey but before leaving it kills as many as it can.

  The black footed-ferret has 2 major predators, the wolf and hawk. It is hunted down by man but if it itself is not hunted the population can be effected indirectly by killing its major food source, the prairie dog.
